About the Partnership

Intersectional Environmentalist's Earth Sessions Project partnered with independent record label Jagjaguwar, The Eyes & Ears Agency and Green Girl Productions to present a unique listening experience for Jamila Woods' new album (Water Made Us) called The Listening Room. The Listening Room Series serves as an extension of Earth Sessions offerings, intended to create more space for climate and culture, art and activism to intersect.

This first Listening Room event took place on October 3 2023 at Guild Row in Chicago, and featured an intentional listening session of Water Made Us introduced by Woods, a surprise performance, and intimate conversation with environmental justice advocate and author Leah Thomas.
