About the Partnership

Intersectional Environmentalist (IE), in partnership with The Eyes & Ears Agency and Allbirds, produced the latest Earth Sessions offering titled, Designing a Sustainable Future. This event included a live concert featuring Adi Oasis; giveaways; an inspiring conversation with designers, activists and writers including Ashley Comeaux (VP of product design at Allbirds), Willow Defebaugh (Co-Founder & Editor in Chief of Atmos Magazine), Eileen Tran (Creative Director of IE) and Kiana Kazemi (Program Director of IE); and more.

Taking place at the Dumbo Loft on April 27 2023, this event showcased Allbirds' newest shoe: the Riser, a retro-inspired sneaker crafted from the brand’s suite of eco-innovative materials. Guests also enjoyed aura readings courtesy of Inner Light Aura; snacks and beverages by Local Roots NYC; and a free book giveaway curated by the speakers and sourced from local indie bookstore, Cups and Books.

Ticket proceeds from this event were matched by Allbirds and donated to Start:Empowerment — a local Queer + POC led nonprofit at the nexus of climate education and environmental justice organizing.
